Ongoing workshops are conducted in OCFA Studios. OCFA offers beginning, intermediate and advanced training for kids and adults in a variety of artistic modalities. Most classes can be joined at any time at a very moderate cost. Weekday, evening and weekend schedules will accommodate your lifestyle.

Young Artist's Studio
Students will learn how to be create with different materials while incorporating fundamental techniques of color, composition, and contrast. Oils, collage, drawing, and watercolors are the areas we will explore in this fun class.

Bookbinding Fundamentals
This class will introduce students to the basic tools, materials and vocabulary of bookbinding. Techniques for the construction of simple bindings will be demonstrated and students will construct three basic book structures. Those who are interested in furthering their bookbinding experience will find that these basic techniques are the foundation of more complex structures. This class will also discuss the book form as a format for other art mediums and share the idea of the “Artist Book”. Ceramics Creations - NEW!
Have a blast learning how to turn clay into wonderful creatures and other fun projects. We will hand build the pieces as we learn techniques such as coiling, scoring and slab, and decorate them with under glazes. Different projects each week. All pieces will be glazed and fired. This class is for beginning to intermediate students. Learn to create beautiful paintings using a step-by-step process that includes color mixing, how to hold your paintbrush and apply paint, creating dynamic compositions and much more. Even if you are an experienced oil painter, Kim's class will take your work to the next level. During class you will work from both photographs and life. Painting demonstrations by Kim are included so that you will see each lesson in action. Class size is limited so that you will receive plenty of personal instruction.
